Bishop asks Vatican to investigate nun’s death at convent

Bishop Czeslaw Kozon of Copenhagen, Denmark’s sole bishop, has asked the Vatican to investigate the 1991 death of an elderly nun at a Cistercian convent, according to The Copenhagen Post.

The nun, who suffered from dementia, reportedly died after being locked in a garden on a cold morning.

Two former nuns discussed the matter with police last week; the nation’s justice minister pledged an investgiation.

Another newspaper reported that the bishop has known about the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death since 2001.
