Diocesan Appointments 2011 - Diocese of Killaloe

Bishop Kieran O’Reilly SMA, Bishop of Killaloe has made the following clerical appointments in the diocese. 

These appointments take effect from Friday 29th July 2011.

1.     Fr. Seamus Gardiner PP Portroe V.G to be Assistant Priest, Portroe, (V.G)

2.     Fr. Pat Sexton, Priest in Residence, Scariff to retire.

3.     Fr. Michael Mc Loughlin, P.P. Kilmaley to be Priest in Residence, Kilmaley.

4.     Fr. Tom Hannon P.P. Cloughjordan to do a 6 month programme in Spirituality in St Anselm’s Institute of Spirituality, Kent England.

5.     Fr. Tom Whelan, C.C Nenagh to be ADM, Cloughjordan.

6.     Fr. Brendan Quinlivan, Priest in Residence, Feakle to be P.P Scariff and Feakle with pastoral responsibility for Killanena- Flagmount.

7.     Fr. James O’Brien AP, Killanena-Flagmount to be AP Feakle and residing in Feakle.

8.     Fr. Ger Fitzgerald, recently ordained shortly and to be C.C. Cathedral, Ennis.

9.     Fr. Ger Jones, to be ordained shortly and to be C.C Nenagh.

10.    Fr. Michael Collins, C.C Kilrush to the formation staff of St Patrick’s College, Maynooth.

11.     Fr. Martin Blake, C.C. Ennis to be C.C. Kilrush.

12.    Fr. Maurice Harmon to continue his appointment on the staff of Mary Immaculate College and to be AP in Portroe for weekend pastoral ministry.

13.    Fr. Michael Cooney to be the Killaloe Diocesan Representative on the National Justice and Peace Commission.

14.    Bishop Emeritus Willie Walsh to be available pastorally to the parishes surrounding Ennis.

15.    Fr. Anthony Mc Mahon to be Director catechetics- Gaelscoil Primary Schools in succession to Gerry Cronin who has retired.

16.    Fr. Fergal O’Neill, to continue as Curate in the Cathedral, residing in Clarecastle.
