European prelates meet with Vatican Council for New Evangelization

The Pontifical Council for new evangelization, chaired by Monsignor Rino Fisichella convened pastors on Monday 11 th for a consultation on new perspectives of witness in a secular society.
The summit between the archbishops and cardinals of some of the most important European dioceses on the theme of new evangelization in secular Western societies is one of the first operational initiatives of the Pontifical Council for new evangelization, founded about a year ago on the will of the Pontiff  and led by Archbishop Rino Fisichella.

Participating in the summit at the Vatican are the archbishops of Budapest, Dublin, Cologne, Lisbon, Brussels, Liverpool, Vienna, Warsaw, Turin, Barcelona and Paris.

These are cities and dioceses that have put into play new evangelization initiatives in European countries where the Catholic faith is going through a season of deep crisis and they will now take advantage of this meeting to exchange ideas, projects, experiences and "to promote", as reads the letter of convocation of the meeting sent by Mons. Fisichella, “a renewed missionary proposal that has as its reference Christian communities everywhere."
