In a newly-created role, the Anglican Communion Office in London has appointed a Chief Operating Officer, David White -  a senior manager with a wealth of experience leading UK and international charities.

The new role includes executive support to the Secretary General, Dr Josiah Idowu-Fearon, primary responsibility for the management and administration of the Anglican Communion Office --the permanent secretariat serving the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates Meeting and the Lambeth Conference.

It also includes support for the work of the Anglican Communion across the world and liaison with the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Commenting upon his appointment, David said: “I am honoured and delighted to be joining the Anglican Communion. It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to serve the global Anglican Communion and to play a role in helping to understand and develop all that unites 85 million Anglicans. More directly I will be supporting our church leaders and the very impressive and talented team who work in the Anglican Communion Office in London.”
